Master a seedling light plan
Turn two earlier experiments into a growing plan.
Before you begin
Read the instructions without joining. A signed-in profile lets you save private observations and learning progress.
Gather your supplies
- Similar seedlings from your germination mission
- Two marked growing positions
- Ruler, labels and your earlier field notes
Use what you have. Purchases are optional and do not affect rewards.

Keep grow lights dry and follow their distance and heat instructions. Do not place water above electrical equipment.
Prerequisite: Build a germination protocol

The experiment
Seedling form responds to light intensity, duration and direction. A controlled comparison helps separate a light response from differences in water, variety or growing medium.
- 01
Choose similar seedlings and split them evenly. Put group A in your normal position and group B in a position with a measured change in light duration or distance.
- 02
Keep container, growing medium, temperature and watering schedule alike. Record the exact light difference you are testing.
- 03
Measure the same seedlings at least three times over 48 hours or more. Record average height and note color, leaning and leaf development.
- 04
Use evidence from all three horticulture missions to write a seed-starting and light-adjustment plan another grower could repeat.
